Gatesway Receives Donna Nigh Foundation Grant

Local non-profit receives grant for mobility lifts

Broken Arrow, OK, 7/20/22:  Gatesway Foundation, a non-profit Oklahoma agency providing specialized services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD), announced that they have been awarded a grant from the Donna Nigh Foundation.

Gatesway is excited to announce receiving a grant for Lifts for Friends with Limited or No Mobility from the Donna Nigh Foundation.  This grant allows for the purchase of two (2) new medical lifts to serve Friends with limited or no mobility, giving them more flexibility for transporting, lifting, and moving Friends within their home.

The grant was awarded at the perfect time, as the current lifts Gatesway has need substantial repairs after being used for several years.  These lifts are essential for the mobility of several Friends who live on the foundation’s Broken Arrow campus, giving better access to their beds, chairs, and showers.

Gatesway is grateful to the Donna Nigh Foundation for their generosity and support.  As service needs in the I/DD population grow, grants like these are essential to help provide fundamental tools used in personal care and daily living activities.
