Local non-profit reviving Hot Air Balloon Festival in Broken Arrow this Fall
Broken Arrow, OK, 2/22/23: Gatesway Foundation, a non-profit Oklahoma agency providing specialized services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD), has partnered with the City of Broken Arrow to return Gatesway’s Hot Air Balloon Festival to the community.
With the help of Broken Arrow City Officials and Staff, planning is currently underway for the festival, celebrating Gatesway’s 60th Anniversary with Friends, families, and the community. This event is being planned for Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th, following the Tulsa State Fair. The City of
Broken Arrow is working to provide Events Park at 101st Street and the Creek Turnpike as the site for the festival.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival will include a corporate night on Friday, complete with dinner under the glow of the hot air balloons and musical entertainment. The festival will be open to the public on Saturday. The Gatesway Team will be working to scout pilots, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and donors to support both the return of the festival and Gatesway’s mission.
